Pure Digital Fiberlink® Products Chosen For Boeing Delta Rocket Launch Pads

Hauppauge, NY – Communications Specialties Inc. announced today that Quintron Systems, Inc. of Santa Maria, Calif. has purchased several Pure Digital Fiberlink® fiber optic transmission systems to support launch operations for the Boeing Delta program. A wide variety of Pure Digital Fiberlink products for video, audio and data - including Flex Systems and four-channel and ten-channel video multiplexers – are being installed at the Delta IV launch pads at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Fla., and at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. These same systems are already in use at the Delta II launch pad at Vandenberg. This equipment will link cameras and related controls used for pad monitoring and security.

“Pure Digital Fiberlink fiber optic systems are impervious to extreme temperatures and all kinds of interference, which makes them ideal for this installation”, explains John Lopinto, President and CEO. “And with all digital processing, the systems provide consistent, reliable performance over the entire transmission path”.

The Pure Digital Fiberlink systems are compatible with NTSC, PAL or SECAM video standards. With a wide operating temperature range, the systems are suitable for any indoor or protected outdoor environment. They consist of two units (transmitter and receiver), each equipped with a wide range power supply and indicator LEDs to continuously indicate the presence of power and video signal(s). Systems are available in single mode and multimode versions, most in both box and card versions. The card units fit within the model 6000A card cage, sold separately.
